[[image:16_vineyards_of_burgundy.bmp.bmp:Les vignes de la Bourgogne:right:0]] The sun was setting over the vines of Burgundy as, puffing and panting, we finally reached the ‘Route des Grands Vins’. This famous road which leads, from North to South, through the ‘Bourgogne’ vineyards, source of some of France’s finest wines. We had left the Morvan that same morning, and since then, the landscape had changed drastically.

We started off at 6am as Christopher and I met on the first day of what is to be, well, we’re not sure exactly what, but definitely an adventure! Chris’ dad and brother helped us off as they guided us to the first cycle track that would take us out of the Parisian traffic and into the woods.

D-Day was a success. We will publish a broader article on how the day went, plus pictures, once we get to Dijon. The meetings with the ‘Mairie de St Germain en Laye’ and the ‘Mairie de Versailles’ also went very well. Here again, we will be publishing pictures / text on the web site once we get to Dijon.
For now, we are preparing our first real trip. Paris – Dijon (starting St Germain en Laye). We leave tomorrow morning at 5 AM to take in a few kilometres before the sun starts hitting down on us. Please pray for our legs in these first precious days.
Direction Dijon! Direction Moutarde! Direction Degustation!
