We are hoping that the Corporation and its employees will be able to act responsably in so far as the pre-requisite of 'awareness' is addressed.
Our first priority is to contribute towards awareness on Environmental and Social issues in the context of globalisation.
We will explore the three resources and impacts that globalisation acts with and upon:
1. Natural Environment
2. People of the World
3. Local Economies.
Our job is built around the objectives of the project, which are:
- Engage ourselves on an Edutainment voyage for ourselves and our internet community
- Promote the use of bicycles as a mode of urban transport with the support from Vélo Mondial
- Present the Charter, 'Action Plan for Bicycle Friendly Communities', to the Mayors of cities on our way
- Interview local NGOs about their Cause and their internal functioning in order to reach a solution
- Bring together local NGOs with interested parties
- Give a voice to those wishing to express a specific viewpoint (fellow travellers, locals, internet users...)
- Synthesise local Sustainable Development solutions
- Pedal around the world: 24 countries, 25,000 kilometers, with our Recumbent Bicycles
