Sustainable development means different things to different people, but the most frequently quoted definition is from the report Our Common Future (also known as the 1987 Brundtland Report): "Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." ![]() Future development will depend on western awareness and priorities. Like our travels, development can follow many ways depending on short or long term visions, environmental and social priorities. If development is to follow the way of the markets, the latter can go many ways depending on awareness and responsibility. Our travels will take us through a borderless world to explore local impacts and solutions to a global phenomenum. With the help from our specialised partners we will present local visions and concerns related to Sustainable Development in our magazine page.
